Three Brain Training

Three Brain Training is a start-up business that launched at the end of Guernsey’s 2021 lockdown. Andre Duquemin set up the business to support professionals’ mental well-being and prevent potential stress burnout.

Recent neuroscience research has uncovered that humans’ have a functional and complex set of neural networks in our hearts and guts as well as our brains – leading to the three brain model.

The Challenge

Covid, poorly-thought corporate well-being initiatives, working from home and the constant cycle of distressing news at our fingertips was causing a stress implosion within professionals.

Three Brain Training needed to reach senior corporates to educate them and instigate change within the local business community. However, the business had little to no previous media reporting and minimal social media presence.

The Black Vanilla approach

We worked with Three Brain Training in our Step-up package, which aims to take existing small businesses to the next level.

We quickly understood that Andre had an engaged and supportive audience on his personal channels and utilised this to grow the business’ online presence. A strong following on a personal LinkedIn page adds value to your business, but it’s crucial to place your business’ views alongside your own.

Considering our target audience, we needed to devise a tactic where Andre was seen as a thought leader. We didn’t underestimate the power of owned channels and utilised his expertise in monthly blogs, but we took this one step further and placed him as a monthly contributor to the Guernsey Press as part of their health page.

His regular contributions have placed him as an authoritative figure in the local industry and allowing him to feature as a speaker at a local business lunch.

The Results

Outputs

We started our partnership by drafting an announcement news release for the local business media and set up the business’ LinkedIn page and redeveloping the Facebook page.

We then identified five topical themes to feature as monthly blogs on Three Brain Training’s owned channels, two being part of his Guernsey Press commitment.

Outcomes

Three Brain Training has now been featured across local radio, business news and more than 130 people have directly visited his website through the business’ social media pages.

Three Brain Training has also claimed that several new business meetings have come directly from his media presence. We’re also anticipating this to increase following his feature at a business lunch in April.

Black Vanilla is essential to my business, I consider them a long-term partner in my work. I initially approached PR with a degree of cynicism but was quickly impressed by the difference that the team’s expertise has made to my business.

In addition to devising and implementing a social media strategy that has proved extremely beneficial in raising Leaders’ profile, their
proactivity has opened opportunities to reach new clients and develop our core leadership offering.

We have worked with the team at Black Vanilla for a number of years, across our events and publishing platforms. They understand the markets and the readership we are dealing with, not to mention our exacting requirements which differentiate us from other businesses in our space. I can’t fault their attention to detail and responsiveness to our business needs.
