When Butterfield’s Guernsey office was chosen to host the bank’s first-ever group board meeting in May 2018, the marketing team called on Black Vanilla’s expertise to plan an event for over 200 colleagues and customers at St James.

Investec’s Guernsey team wanted to implement a marketing and PR campaign that would introduce its clients and intermediaries to a unique guest speaker experience that married with the business’s strapline, ‘Out of the Ordinary’.
Phil Eyre launched the Leaders Consultancy in early 2017 with an ambition to organise a landmark leadership conference later that year. He asked Black Vanilla to drive communications to launch the new business, using the conference to establish a clear brand proposition.
The aim of the event was to inspire guests to make positive steps in order to improve the quality of life on the island through the use of engaging and interactive seminars. All aspects required detailed organisation, management and an important PR plan to give it maximum exposure.
The aim was to leverage commercial offers and drive new customer growth by promoting the Jersey Live offers and JT’s sponsorship of The Gathering as well as JT’s support for music in the community, together raising brand awareness and driving local engagement underlining JT’s commitment to the local community.
Bonsai and Black Vanilla took on the shared role of event manager for the re-launch of Bonsai’s new home showroom located at Southside on The Bridge. With so many parties involved in the event, a great deal of meticulous management, technical and creative organisation was required.
In 2015, EI Sturdza’s Guernsey office celebrated its 10th anniversary. Black Vanilla was asked to provide event management services. The event saw the attendance of Prince Eric Sturdza, President of the Sturdza Private Banking Group, and a number of staff members from the company’s Swiss office.
All local charities are competing in a crowded philanthropic environment competing for donations and support. Creating a cost-effective, impactful, cut through campaign for a charity is always a challenge. Black Vanilla achieved maximum exposure across many high reach, high impact media platforms, while staying within a set budget.
