EI Sturdza
EI Sturdza Strategic Management Limited is an independent investment fund company based in Guernsey. It is the asset management part of the Swiss-based Sturdza Private Banking Group and was established back in 2005. The company, led by Managing Director George Gutmans, offers award-winning strategies to institutional private clients.
The Challenge
In November 2015, EI Sturdza’s Guernsey office celebrated its 10th anniversary and Black Vanilla was approached to provide event management services to assist the company in celebrating the occasion with over 100 of its clients and staff members. The attendance of Prince Eric Sturdza, President of the Sturdza Private Banking Group, and a number of staff members from the company’s Swiss office meant that the event requirements surpassed the ordinary on both creative and technical levels.
The Black Vanilla approach
Our Event Manager Hayley Piriou and Media Production Consultant Jon Pettitt met with the client to discuss their requirements and a comprehensive event proposal was put together following the all-important research stage of event planning. With the assistance of a number of local and UK suppliers, the areas covered within the event plan were as follows:
- Venue
- Catering
- Entertainment and travel arrangements
- Technical equipment
- Decoration and styling
- Sourcing and delivery of an ice sculpture
- Invitation printing and delivery
- RSVP management
- Accommodation for overseas guests
- Goody bag sourcing and packaging
- On-site representative on hand to assist during the event
- Organising of post-event PR coverage including film production
Hayley and Jon met with the client throughout the event planning process to provide regular updates and ensure that all requirements were being met to the highest possible standard. On the day of the event, Hayley was on hand at the venue to ensure that all preparations were managed efficiently. This included all of the finishing touches to create a beautiful setting ready for more than 100 guests.
The Results
The event was a huge success and received copious amounts of praise from both staff and guests alike. Georges Gutmans, Managing Director of EI Sturdza Strategic Management Ltd, said, ‘I would like to pass on my thanks and appreciation for the great job you and your colleagues did in arranging a wonderful evening.’
