Following a successful year of business wins and international growth, Black Vanilla is recruiting for a hardworking junior to join the team. 

Our work incorporates four key service lines – public relations, creative content creation/copywriting, event management and communications training.  Our team works across five jurisdictions and supports clients with international work.

From media relations and social media to event organisation and filming digital content or recording podcasts, the team enjoys an incredible variety of work across both the financial services, corporate and consumer sectors. 

We are keen to hear from graduates or school leavers who want to take a step into a career in public relations, or someone who has experience in the industry and is looking for a new role.

Account Executive (PR, Events and Digital)

Our Account Executive position will support members of our team with digital, events and PR activities. 

• The chosen candidate must be able to show great teamwork, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
• They will enjoy writing and have an interest in the media landscape and social media.
• They must have good time management skills, with the ability to try their hand at anything and everything.
• This is a varied role, which will allow the successful candidate to get involved with all aspects of the PR, digital and events world, learning on the job with a supportive team.

The successful applicant will primarily support our financial services clients on several PR activities. This includes creating press releases, media relations, building client relationships and social media support.

This role will include training to help with digital elements. This involves basic filming and editing using Adobe Premier Pro, recording podcasts, photography and creating graphics and animations.

The role also includes event administration skills, to support the organisation of current client and ad hoc events, admin tasks, ordering merchandise, promotional items and more.

The successful applicant may have completed work experience at a PR or marketing agency, have a relevant degree or A-levels such as Media Studies. Prior experience in the industry is preferable.
