Channel Islands PR agency Black Vanilla has appointed Chris Leaman as a Senior Account Executive.

Chris began working in the local communications industry after leaving the College of Further Education four years ago.

He holds qualifications with the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and has more recently completed his Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Certificate.

Chris has a keen interest in the island’s financial services and B2B sector and will be applying his expertise to a range of integrated communications campaigns for Black Vanilla’s corporate clients.

He will also be leading Black Vanilla’s Bulb offering where he will be applying his skills to help the island’s start-ups and entrepreneurs to reach their full potential.

Black Vanilla’s Director Nichole Culverwell said: ‘We are excited to strengthen our team with Chris’s recent appointment.

‘As Channel Islands businesses face more complex risks and opportunities, they need strategic communications expertise. Cyber security, hybrid working and climate change are just three of the most pressing themes that we are helping our clients to navigate, and with two new recruits in 2021, we are well placed to deliver corporate campaigns.’

The agency also appointed Chloe Chescoe as an Account Manager at the beginning of the year. Chloe is currently undertaking her CIPR Crisis Communications specialist diploma, further building the agency’s credentials in issues management and reputation protection strategies.
